Brasilea Foundation is a place for cultural and artistic exchange between Switzerland and Brazil since 2003.
Brasilea Foundation is a place for cultural and artistic exchange between switzerland and Brazil since 2003. Brasilea provides artists-in-residence programs, implements research trips to Brazil as well as networking with art and cultural institutions in switzerland and abroad and organizes cultzural events as concerts, literature evenings and lectures. For the privately sponsored foundation, exhibiting contemporary art, primarily from Brazil, has played a major role since the beginning. In addition to the existing collection Walter Wüthrich, collected by the founder himself in Brazil, the APE collection (Arte Perpetual Establishment) deliberately looks to the present and into the future. By purchasing art objects from the ongoing exhibitions of the Brasilea Foundation, the chronology and history of exhibitions becomes comprehensible to the viewer.
Objective: promotion and dissemination of brazilian culture in Switzerland and Europe
